HEADLESS BPY PIPELINE FOR PRINT-READY MESHES
01 / The build
Behind the project.
A headless Blender pipeline (bpy, Blender 4.2.16 LTS) that prepares meshes for 3D printing. Steps include retopology (Quadriflow / decimate), resizing to exact millimeter dimensions, mesh cleanup with the Print3D-Toolbox add-on, and hollowing with configurable wall thickness. Configured through a YAML file and run via a Makefile.

Notes & outcomes
What came out of it.
- Fully headless: no GUI required, runs from the command line.
- Hollowing with configurable wall thickness for resin-style prints.
- Resize to exact millimeter dimensions before export.
